The long-awaited Dexcom G7 CGM is here…almost. To keep the Dexcom fans excited and eager while we wait out these last few days Dexcom will be creating buzz with another Super Bowl commercial set to air during the 2023 Super Bowl.  Let’s dive into the spectacular fashion in which this CGM will be announced.

Nick Jonas, Dexcom Warrior

To raise awareness for this remarkable new CGM, the Dexcom team is enlisting superstar power from Nick Jonas who will be starring in a G7 CGM commercial during the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 12, 2023.

“Dexcom CGM has changed my life and revolutionized the way I take care of my health,” said Jonas. “People with diabetes – whether Type 1 or Type 2 – should have the best technology available to manage their disease, and with Dexcom G7, they’ll have it. I’m excited for the opportunity to share this new device with the world and to raise awareness around the magic of CGM. Raising awareness of this technology for the millions of Americans who need it is one key step toward ensuring people with diabetes have the best technology available to live beyond their diagnosis.”

Nick Jonas is no stranger to Super Bowl ads or life with diabetes type 1. Many may remember Jonas’ Dexcom Super Bowl commercial from 2021. The singer, actor, and philanthropist has been public about his T1D diagnosis and the challenges of living with the disease.

“I was just thrilled to bring awareness and conversation around diabetes management to a stage as the Super Bowl,” Jonas said. “Then to do it twice now, it’s really exciting and crazy feeling…I feel very passionate about all of it, which is why I was happy they asked me to do another Super Bowl commercial,” he added.

Watching the ad, Jonas’ enthusiasm for the new Dexcom G7 CGM is infectious. He shares some of the newest features like predicting glucose trends and increased visibility into A1c – all through a smart device (sold separately) and a discreet wearable sensor, now approved for use on the back of the arm.
