Keep in mind that these desserts made with artificial sweeteners like Nutrasweet, Sweet ‘N Low, and Splenda taste sweet and won’t have a major impact on your carb intakeHowever, these treats are not calorie free and if not consumed in moderation could lead to weight gain. That, in turn, could make it harder for you to manage your diabetes. Looking for a non-artificial option to sweeten your baked goods? Consider natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit extract, and date sugar. 

Picking Flours 

While using the right sugar substitute is an important part of baking desserts that are safe for people with diabetes, it’s not the only factor you’ll need to take into account.
